Welcome to The Morris

Many years in the making, The Morris is the restaurant its founder Paul Einbund has always revered — the modest, unpretentious bistro where you can eat and drink at world-class level. The emphasis here is ever on flavor, from chef Gavin Schmidt’s straightforward, pure cuisine to the unique collection of wines and spirits amassed by Einbund, a well-known sommelier, over decades of world travels. Yet at its heart, The Morris, named after Einbund’s late father, aspires mostly to be a warm neighborhood restaurant which will find and nourish its own community.

Join Us

The Morris is located at 2501 Mariposa Street, corner of Mariposa and Hampshire, the neighborhood known as Potrero Flats (Media Gulch). Reservations can be made one month in advance on our website through Resy. To make a reservation please click here. We have 15 seats at the bar that serves our full dinner menu. We welcome walk-ins on a first-come, first-serve basis. For parties of 7 or more please email us at info@themorris-sf.com to inquire about our large party prix fixe menu options. Both metered and hourly parking are available in the neighborhood. For public transportation, we are only a few blocks away from Muni 33, 22, 27. Uber or Lyft are always recommended if you plan on drinking.
